Kirby and the Forgotten Land launching March 25

Nintendo has announced via a new trailer that Kirby and the Forgotten Land will launch for the Switch on March 25, 2022.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land is the first 3D Kirby platformer (excluding the multiple cancelled GameCube titles), taking the pink protagonist through the remnants of an unknown civilisation.

During thier travels, Kirby will be able to acquire two new copy abilities, Drill and Ranger, which can be used to burrow underground or attack from afar.

Two-player local co-op is also available, letting another player take control of Bandana Waddle Dee. While he wont have access to Kirby’s copy abilities, he instead has access to a number of spear attacks.

It may have taken a while, but this switch to three dimensional exploration is shaping up well. It should be another comfy Kirby adventure, regardless of whether the new dimension changes much in the end.
