Langrisser Remake Double Pack for PS4 Gets First Trailer

The Langrisser remake double pack for for PS4, simply titled Langrisser I & II, now has its first trailer! As well as a brief look at the game in general, this also nicely shows off the new art by Ar Tonelico artist Ryo Nagi. Take a look at the trailer below:

In addition to the graphical update, Langrisser I & II features new acting, a new scenario, multiple endings, and even a brand new heroine called Betty. While the artist for the remake is different, Betty still has a design by original artist Satoshi Urushihara for use in Classic Mode.

The original art for the games will be available as DLC, so you can change between the old and new art styles for whichever you like best! A download code for the Classic Mode will be included with first-print copies.

Here’s a look at new character Betty’s designs by each artist:

Urushihara also provided new box art for the game’s limited edition, which includes:

– A copy of the game

– A limited edition game box

– An artbook

– An original soundtrack CD

I’m really hoping we’ll see the Langrisser remake come west! The series doesn’t have a great history with being released outside of Japan, with only two games localised into English, but that just makes this the perfect opportunity! The Langrisser remake releases in February in Japan, and if we see it come west any time next year, it’ll really be shaping up to be a great year for SRPGs!

Langrisser I & II releases for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on February 7th in Japan.

Spread the love!
