The lobby system in Persona 4 Arena: Ultra Ultimax Suplex Hold is exclusive to PS3

Atlus has updated the US website for Persona 4 Arena: Ultra Ultimax Suplex Hold, leaving a small note on the lobby page stating that the lobby system is only available on PS3.

This is most likely because the game did not release on Xbox 360 in Japan, due to poor sales, and so the lobby system was not implemented into the Xbox 360 version overseas either. Arc System Works games seem to sell much better on PS3 than Xbox 360, as evidenced by this issue and Blazblue: Chronophantasma being exclusive to Sony.

You’ll still be able to play online, but the lobby system allows you to take control of a Persona character as you visit various areas to talk to people, and to set up matches. On Xbox 360, you’ll presumably only be able to jump online as you could in the first Arena title, where you chose ranked or unranked and then were matched with random opponents. Of course, you can host private matches.

Persona 4 Arena: Ultra Ultimax Suplex Hold releases tomorrow in North America, with Europe getting it on 21st November.

Spread the love!
