Lost Judgment DLC includes playable Kaito

Sega has revealed new details on the DLC coming to Lost Judgment, which includes a new chapter featuring Yagami’s trusty partner Kaito.

Two of the DLC packs are focused primarily on side activities, expanding them with additional content and cosmetics. The Detective Essentials Pack will be available at launch, with the School Stories Expansion Pack following on October 26, 2021. Both of these are included in the Digital Deluxe edition of Lost Judgment.

Meanwhile, “The Kaito Files” wont be available until Spring 2022. According to the announcement, it’s an approximately 10 hour story involving Kaito — he’ll even be playable for the first time in the series. This will be included alongside the other two DLC packs as part of the Digital Ultimate edition, though all three will be purchasable separately as well.

This will be the first time Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio has released story DLC for any of its titles. The release schedule doesn’t go into much detail as to what Kaito will actually be doing during the story, though more info should follow after the main game’s launch.

Lost Judgment releases globally on September 24, 2021 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
