Lost Judgment revealed, launches September 24 worldwide
After a few weeks of teasing, Sega and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio have revealed Lost Judgment for PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
Launching globally on September 24 2021, Lost Judgment continues the adventures of private investigator Takayuki Yagami and his partner Masaharu Kaito. His investigations into another suspicious murder see him going undercover at a high school in Yokohama, while also dealing with the various gangs trying to stop him.
Most gameplay elements make a return from Judgment, including Yagami’s investigation skills and multiple fighting styles. He now has an additional counter-focused Snake style, and is able to explore environments more freely through some acrobatic climbing and wall running.
The only thing that was really missing from an otherwise solid reveal is PC releases for either game. However, this is probably due to the first game’s Stadia exclusivity deal holding back a port for the sequel too.
With Lost Judgment roughly four months from launch, there’s plenty of time to try out the first game — or any Yakuza entries that you might have missed. It’s available on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Stadia (but oddly not Xbox One).
