Inti Creates has revealed Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX 2, the latest entry in the Azure Striker Gunvolt spin-off series.

Launching January 27, 2022 for Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, Luminous Avenger iX 2 once again features Copen and Lola, who are now fighting through a parallel world where only robots exist.

Gameplay still looks incredibly faced paced, taking the action of Megaman Zero and turning it up to 11. Both the main series and Luminous Avenger iX are worth checking out if you miss Zero’s adventures — though Gunvolt does enough to differentiate itself from those titles.

Inti Creates also confirmed that a physical release is planned in the west, with the reveal trailer description stating that this will only happen for the PS4 and Switch version. Digital copies are priced at $24.99, with no price given for the physical release at this time.
