Mary Skelter “Purification” Shows Some Skin
Compile Heart’s newest dungeon crawler, Divine Prison Tower: Mary Skelter, won’t just be hitting that horror note, but also a naughty one, with its newest “Purification” system.
The game’s purification feature may sound similar to Criminal Girl’s punishment mini-games or Monster Monpiece’s aggressive touch screen rubbing, but it is even more lewd than that. As your girls encounter various monsters on the battlefield, they will slowly accumulate impurities, bringing them closer to the Blood Skelter Mode which has them attacking allies and foes alike. To prevent this from happening you will have to use the Vita’s touch screen to wipe away the impurities and their clothes in the process.
Despite this the game promises to bring a lot of new things to the genre. From the amazing artwork to gritty horror aesthetic, there is a lot to be excited about in Mary Skelter. Dungeon crawling is somewhat your standard affair, that is until you encounter one of the many horrifying enemies that chase you around in real time.
Divine Prison Tower: Mary Skelter will be coming to Japan exclusively on PlayStation Vita. The game will be available on October 13th, which unfortunately doesn’t fall on a Friday.
