Master Roshi joins Dragon Ball FighterZ this September

Revealed at end of yesterday’s Dragon Ball FighterZ show, Master Roshi will be coming to the tag-team fighter some time this September.

As a fan favourite in the Dragon Ball series, it’s was always surprising that the perverted Turtle Hermit wasn’t in the game already. Then again, a significant portion of the roster is taken up by Goku variants — including DLC — so new characters have had to wait for their time to shine.

A common complaint with each reveal trailer is that they barely show off any gameplay, and Master Roshi’s is even more brief than usual. Barely clocking in at 30 seconds of actual footage, we get a brief look at a super move and his victory animation. There might more info regarding Roshi closer to his release, but future character reveals really need to be more substantial.

Master Roshi is the third character added to FighterZ Pass 3, following on from Ultra Instinct Goku and Kefla. It’s not yet known whether this will be the last character pass for Dragon Ball FighterZ, though it wouldn’t be much of a surprise if they continued well into the next generation of consoles.
