Metaphor: ReFantazio reaches 1 million copies sold within 1 day of launch
Atlus has revealed that Metaphor: ReFantazio has already reached an important milestone, despite JRPG only releasing a day ago.
As confirmed via a Twitter post, Metaphor: ReFantazio has already reached one million copies sold after its release on October 11, 2024.
This puts it as Atlus’s fastest selling game ever, beating out Persona 3 Reload which “only” reached the one million line within launch week. It’s an impressive showing, showing the company’s growth in recent years.
Some of this growth might be attributed to a greater focus on multiple release platforms at launch, compared to the more constrained releases of older Atlus titles — it took six years before Persona 5 made it to non-PlayStation, albeit via its expanded Royal release.
