New Monster Hunter Rise gameplay videos highlight even more weapon types

Capcom have released even more gameplay trailers for Monster Hunter Rise, featuring another four weapons that will be available to hunters next year.

It’s another even split between melee and ranged weapons, with videos being available for light bowguns, heavy bowguns, lances, and long swords.

The new Silkbind attacks add extra manoeuvrability and variety to the movesets of existing weapons, allowing even heavy bowgun users to dodge around more freely. Monster Hunter games have been introducing a wider array of movement options and extra verticality since MH4, so it’s cool to see that trend continuing in Rise.

Monster Hunter Rise is still a few months away, arriving March 26, 2021 on the Switch. Monster Hunter Stories 2, an RPG spin-off from the main series, is also planned for release some time next year.
