Monster Hunter Rise heads to PC January 2022, demo next month

Monster Hunter Rise finally has a release date for PC, launching via Steam on January 12, 2022.

The PC version of Rise will receive some visual improvements over the Switch release, including 4K and ultrawide resolution support, and high-resolution textures. It won’t exactly match up the graphics of Monster Hunter World, but it’s definitely easy to see the enhancements compared to Switch.

Unfortunately, cross save and cross play support hasn’t been mentioned by Capcom, so you’ll probably have to start from scratch if switching to PC.

Players looking to try out Monster Hunter Rise ahead of its release on PC will be able to download a demo from October 13. It should be the same as on Switch, featuring a tutorial and a handful of quests.

Sunbreak, the recently announced expansion for Rise, will release during Summer 2022 for both Switch and PC,
