Monster Hunter Rise PC demo now available
The Monster Hunter Rise demo is now available to play on PC via Steam, ahead of its release on January 12, 2022.
Content-wise, this demo is exactly the same as the previous Switch trial. It includes a few tutorial quests, and hunts for Great Izuchi, Mizutsune, and Magnamalo — the latter is far tougher than any you’ll actually fight in the full game.
Capcom went over some of the changes coming to the PC version of Monster Hunter Rise last month, mainly highlighting its improved visuals. Its origins as a Switch game mean that it wont look quite as pretty as Monster Hunter World, though this also means that lower-end systems will see higher framerates in comparison.
Monster Hunter Rise on PC seems solid overall, allowing for more control options and a smoother experience overall. It’s just a shame that there wont be a way to take Switch saves over to PC, or even play with hunters on both platform.
