Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin launches worldwide this July

Capcom opened the latest Monster Hunter digital event with RPG spin-off Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, revealing that it’ll be releasing worldwide on July 9, 2021 for Nintendo Switch.

This is the first time we’ve seen anything on the game since last September, with most of the focus being placed on the upcoming release of Monster Hunter Rise.

A new trailer unveiled more of the game’s cast, including Navirou from the first Monster Hunter Stories. Not much was shown in regards to gameplay, but we at least know that battles featuring multiple riders will now be possible.

A multitude of physical and digital goods for Monster Hunter Stories 2 were also shown off. This includes a bundle of cosmetic items via the newly revealed Deluxe Edition, pre-order and Monster Hunter Rise save bonuses, and three amiibo.

News on Monster Hunter Stories 2 should become more frequent from April onwards, after the launch of Monster Hunter Rise. However, post launch support for Rise is also planned, with a PC port currently in development for early 2022.
