Monster Hunter Wilds x Final Fantasy XIV crossover content coming to both games later this year
Capcom and Square Enix have announced that both companies are teaming up once again, with both Monster Hunter Wilds and Final Fantasy XIV set to get crossover content and rewards over the next few months.
On the Monster Hunter Wilds side, hunters will be able to ride Chocobos (they’re not that different from Seikrets, making it a perfect choice) and take on Omega Planetes. With the “Planetes” part of the name being something new for this collab, there’s a chance that this could be more than just Final Fantasy XIV’s rendition of Omega.
For Final Fantasy XIV, you’ll be able to unlock a Seikret mount and take on Guardian Arkvel. If this is like the Stormblood crossover content, you’ll have to take on the Extreme version of Arkveld to get the mount.
The Monster Hunter Wilds FFXIV content is set for late September, alongside Title Update 3, with Final Fantasy XIV’s crossover update following in early October.
If you’re after more Monster Hunter x Final Fantasy in the meantime, check out Monster Hunter World or the free trial of Final Fantasy XIV. World features the imposing Behemoth as a hunt, while the Stormblood expansion for FF includes Rathalos as both a trial and mounth.
