Musou Stars Release Date Announced (in Japan), More Characters Confirmed

Koei Tecmo have announced a Musou Stars release date. The spectacular musou crossover of several Koei Tecmo series will be releasing in Japan on 2nd March 2017, according to the newest issue of Famitsu! The issue also confirms some more new characters, and one original character.

The Famitsu preview page confirms that Horo from Toukiden will be in the game, along with Wang Yuanji (Dynasty Warriors), and Ishida Mitsunari (Samurai Warriors). They’re not particularly crazy additions to the Musou Stars ranks, but it’s nice to see that they’ll be there.

Musou Stars Release Date Announced (in Japan), More Characters Confirmed

When the full issue of Musou Stars drops there should be some more information on the original character from the preview. It could be a case of something like Hyrule Warriors, where an original character sort of ties the events of the game together to explain why everyone from different worlds are meeting.

Musou Stars has still not been confirmed for a western release. As it delves into some deep cuts even for Japanese fans, it will be interesting to see if this Koei Tecmo celebration makes it over — but we certainly hope it does! Importers won’t have long to wait, though, as March is very close now!

Musou Stars releases in Japan on 2nd March 2017 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.

Spread the love!
