This is the age we live in. Announcements of announcements are everywhere. Two Japanese websites have reported that an “important announcement” regarding Nichijou is scheduled to come out Friday, June 26th, 2015 (Japan time). It will be revealed in the August issue of Monthly Shounen Ace. However, there’s nothing really besides speculation as to what it could be.
Airing in 2011, Nichijou (known in the west as My Ordinary Life) is a charming slice of life comedy anime which has a sort of cult status. It has one 26 episode long season. It was based on a still ongoing manga.
Despite being well-received the Nichijou anime didn’t perform very well on home release.
There’s only speculation as to what the announcement could be. Some are hoping for a second season, and others think it could be information about a live action adaptation.
