NEO: The World Ends With You announced for Switch and PS4, releasing worldwide in 2021
The countdown has ended, revealing Square Enix‘s next The World Ends With You project. And, unlike the last few announcements, this is actually going to be a brand new game.
It’s been a long time coming, but the newly revealed NEO: The World Ends With You should finally continue a franchise that has been teasing a sequel for years.
NEO is taking the iconic art style of the original and adapting it into 3D, though it seems like cutscenes will still make use of 2D character portraits.
Multiple characters are introduced during the trailer, including new protagonist Rindo, and what seems to be Sho Minamimoto as a Player, rather than a Reaper.
NEO: The World Ends With You is launching on PS4 and Switch worldwide next year.
