New Disgaea 6 trailer shows off the series’ history
Nippon Ichi Software has released the second trailer for the upcoming Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny. It features a better look at the new 3D models on the battle grid, a recap of the series’ history starting in 2003, and some very, very big numbers!
It also shows some of the new quality of life features that will let players choose how grindy they want Disgaea 6 to be, such as a speedup function and auto-battle mode.
I have to say, I love the overdramatic trailer schtick, but I wish they’d dial it down just a notch. The way the screen lurches around with lightning flashes each time a new word appears at around the 1 minute 20 mark makes me feel a bit queasy!
Still, the music, the visuals, and the look back through history all work together to make this a very effective trailer. It sure seems to be generating plenty of hype!
Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny will be coming to PS4 and Switch in 2021. It’s arriving on January 28, 2021 in Japan and releasing for the West in the summer.
