New Shadowbringers Information Revealed At Paris Fan Fest!

We’re at the FINAL FANTASY XIV Fan Fest 2019 in Paris, and Naoki Yoshida has not long finished his Keynote Address to kick off the event, revealing a lot of new Shadowbringers information to an event full of excited fans of the game.

Coming to the stage dressed in the Gunbreaker outfit worn by Thancred in the extended trailer (below) Yoshida announced first and most importantly, this expansion will be launching on July 2nd 2019 worldwide, with pre-orders beginning on February 6th 2019.

Revealed for Shadowbringers:
  • New Job – The ‘gunbreaker’– master of gunblade (trailer embedded at the bottom of this article).
  • New Playable Race – the ‘Viera’, rabbit-like wardens of the wood (see above).
  • ‘Trust’ System – An all-new system allowing players to tackle Shadowbringers instanced dungeons with familiar NPCs by their side (excluding dungeons requiring more than four party members).
  • New Alliance Raid – YoRHa: Dark Apocalypse – from the minds of renowned NieR creators Yosuke Saito and YOKO TARO.
  • New Areas – Il Mheg – a lush, awe-inspiring vale, and the Rak’tika Greatwood – a sprawling forest of ancient, towering sentinels. If you fancy it, Il Mheg can be seen here, and Rak’tika Greatwood here.
  • New Beast Tribe and Primal – the pixies and their almighty regent, Titania.
