New Smash Ultimate fighter to be revealed at The Game Awards
Nintendo are teasing the reveal of a new Super Smash Bros. Ultimate fighter during The Game Awards tonight.
No hints have been given as to which character will be chosen, though that obviously hasn’t stopped fans from speculating. Sora, Rayman, Crash Bandicoot; Most of the fighters people want are third party, which isn’t too far fetched if you consider that the majority of DLC additions to Ultimate have been from non-Nintendo properties.
During the 2018 Game Awards, Joker from Persona 5 was revealed as part of Smash Ultimate’s Fighters Pass 1. It was completely out of nowhere, creating a ton of hype when gameplay was finally show. However, with Nintendo mentioning an announcement before this year’s show, we could be in for a slightly less exciting reveal.
Either way, there’s not long left until we find out who’s joining the Smash Ultimate roster. The Game Awards 2020 takes place midnight (GMT) tonight.
