New Tembo the Badass Elephant 2? May Include More RPG Mechanics – Game Freak Hiring (or it Could be a New Pokemon I Guess…)
Okay, okay, it’s actually much more likely it will be for a console Pokémon project. Game Freak hiring for a new 3D CG team members to join a “console” project on an RPG game that is popular on a global scale.” This was spotted by Silicon Era.
Considering you can almost count the number of non-Pokémon properties Game Freak has made on one hand, it’s most likely this will be some kind of Switch Pokémon game. Specifically they are looking for designers who have worked on models at a “Wii U” and “Vita” level. Unless Tembo the Baddass Elephant 2 will include a lot more RPG mechanics, it’s probably out of the running.
The real mystery is whether this is confirmation of the rumoured Pokémon Stars, a “third version” of Sun & Moon that would port the experience over to Switch with additional features; or whether this may be some kind of other Pokémon project — something akin to Colloseum, Battle Revolution, or maybe even PokéPark.
So all we really know is that Game Freak is brewing up a new console project. You could probably assume that anyway, but it’s nice to know. And it’s probably a Pokémon project. Probably.
