Nier Re[in]carnation global launches next month
Square Enix has announced that the global version of Nier Re[in]carnation will launch on July 28 for Android and iOS.
The game’s opening cinematic has been shared ahead of its English release, though it’s mostly just footage taken from the game with some excellent music from composer Keiichi Okabe.
Nier Re[in]carnation has already managed to reach more than 400,000 pre-registrations, with further rewards planned if it can hit 500,000 and 600,000 — these include materials and the gems needed to roll on characters and weapons.
Soon we’ll be able to see if the series’ unique brand of storytelling can work in a free-to-play gacha game. From the recent beta, it seemed like completing all current story content was simple enough without paying, though this could change in the future.
