NieR Re[in]carnation now launching in Japan on February 18, 2021

Square Enix have announced that the Japanese release of NieR Re[in]carnation for Android and iOS will now take place on February 18, 202.

For those that haven’t heard of NieR Re[in]carnation, it’s a mobile gacha spin-off (there’s a lot of those these days) taking place in the NieR universe. Based on previous gameplay trailers, it looks like the main cast will be made up of new faces, though there are a few with similar designs to existing characters.

Of course, this doesn’t stop crossover events with previous games from happening. As you’d expect, a NieR: Automata collab is already planned to take place in conjunction with the launch of Re[in]carnation. It’ll feature 2B, 9S, and A2 as playable characters.

During Tokyo Game Show 2021, an English release was announced for NieR Re[in]carnation. Here’s hoping that it’s not too far behind the Japanese launch — unlike the heavily delayed global version of SINoAlICE.
