Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack brings N64 and Mega Drive games

Today’s Nintendo Direct revealed the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack, which will bring Nintendo 64 and Mega Drive games to the console.

No release date was announced for the Expansion Pack, though we did get a list of games available when the service launches.

On the Nintendo 64 side, there are classic titles like Super Mario 64 and The Legend of Zelda: Orcarina of Time. Later updates will release even more titles, such as Banjo-Kazooie. Meanwhile, the Mega Drive line-up includes Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Phantasy Star IV.

The Expansion Pack will cost and additional free on top of regular Switch Online, though again, no price has been announced just yet.

Rounding out the announcements was a set of N64 and Mega Drive controllers (the first was somewhat leaked by an FCC listing earlier this week). They’re priced at £39.99/€49.99 each, and will be available for pre-order soon.
