Nippon Ichi Software and Acquire reveal To All of Mankind

Nippon Ichi Software has been a busy little beaver recently with news, what with the Criminal Girls X announcement, and now it has been revealed Jinrui no Minasama he, or To All of Mankind, a survival adventure game that they are working on with developer Acquire.

Acquire you might know for their work on Akiba’s Trip and Octopath Traveler, the latter of which we gave a glowing review last year for its faithfulness to the turn-based nature of JRPGs while bringing fresh mechanics to to the table.

The latest issue of Weekly Famitsu is where news first broke for To All of Mankind, stating that it is coming to Playstation 4 and Nintendo Switch. No release date has been confirmed yet, and also there is no word of a Western release at this point.

The game is being made with the concept of “girls surviving in a somehow ruined Akihabara.” Weekly Famitsu has information some of the game’s systems and characters, but details have yet to leak. It was also announced that character design is being handled by Yuu Akinashi of Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate fame.

It looks interesting, and if the survival mechanics are done well, I would love to see how this turns out especially as the art style is beautiful. What do you think? Does To All of Mankind interest you? Let us know in the comments, or on Facebook and Twitter, and check back for more coverage of this and other Japanese titles!

To All of Mankind currently has no release date. Interested in Acquire’s work? Why not pick up the phenomenal Octopath Traveler?

Spread the love!
