Spike Chunsoft has announced No Sleep For Kaname Date – From AI: The Somnium Files, a spin-off taking place one day after the first game.

No Sleep For Kaname Date brings the titular protagonist back for another mystery, with Iris Sagan finding herself in another bind. After Iris is abducted by a UFO and forced to participate in a potentially deadly escape game, Date must make use of a strange coffin-shaped device to save her.

Interestingly, usual series scenario writer Kotaro Uchikoshi is only playing an advisor role in No Sleep For Kaname Date, with Kazuya Yamada as director and scenario writer (he previously worked on the previous AI games as well). This doesn’t come as a huge shock, with much of Uchikoshi’s focus likely on the upcoming release of The Hundred Line.

No Sleep For Kaname Date – From AI: The Somnium Files launches 25 July 2025 for Nintendo Switch and PC. Both physical (£44.99/$49.99) and digital ($39.99) releases are planned for Switch.
