I am generally not a big fan of long gameplay videos as they tend to spoil a little too much of the game, but when it is for an action packed title such as Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir then they just get me even more hyped for the game.
Atlus released an almost two-hour video showcasing the gameplay and improvements of Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir. For the gameplay skip to 17:30.
Odin Sphere originally came out on the PlayStation 2 way back in 2007 as the spiritual successor of the Japan only title Princess Crown. Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir was supposed to be a port for modern systems, but down the line it became something much more. Aside from HD visuals there will be new monsters, mid-bosses and different AI, so even people who played the original will be able to enjoy this excellent side scrolling action game.
Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir will be available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and Vita. The game will launch in Japan on January 14 2016 for 7,980 yen. North American fans will be able to get their hands on the game in spring 2016. Still no word of a European release.
