One Piece Bounty Rush Mobile Game Announced for the West
One Piece is such a huge property, that obviously it’s going to have a mobile game or two. One Piece Bounty Rush is one such mobile game, which has just been announced by Bandai Namco as “coming soon” for 2018. Previously announced for 2018 in Japan, it’s now coming west too.
The mobile game promises “real-time team battles with real players”. It seems to emphasise actual battles that happen in, well, real-time — as they mentioned.
Numbers and coins fly out of enemies, and it seems you can use berries to power-up too.
We don’t always go crazy for mobile games, but more often than not they’re a nice addition to the lives of those who are already fans of the media they’re based on.
What I’m getting at is, if you’re a One Piece fan, this might be something you’re interested in. Because it’s One Piece.
It’s not the first One Piece mobile game. One Piece Treasure Cruise and One Piece Thousand Storm are also available on smartphones, but Bounty Rush is the first one to offer real-time combat. A lot of phone tie in games are plodding in pace, so it’s nice to see something a bit quicker for One Piece.
