One Piece Odyssey announced
Bandai Namco has announced One Piece Odyssey, a new JRPG coming to PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam in 2022.
One Piece Odyssey sees Luffy and his crew shipwrecked on a mysterious island, where they must work together to survive its dangers.
The reveal trailer shows off an original character who is currently unnamed — One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda mentions that he designed the characters for Odyssey around 3 years ago.
Fellow Rice Digital writer Conor talked about his thoughts on the many One Piece spin-off games when Odyssey leaked last year. While most of the rumours seem to have been false at this point, the franchise does hold a lot of potential when it comes to creating a solid RPG.
