Overwatch has a free trial on Nintendo Switch next week
If you happen to be a Nintendo Switch Online subscriber, good news! Blizzard’s class-based shooter Overwatch will be free for you to download and play for a limited window next week.
This trial, which lasts from 13-20 October, will allow you access to the full game, with all its assorted game modes and heroes. I’m afraid it’s not one of those deals where the game is free to keep, however. After Tuesday, you’ll have to cough up if you want to keep the fun going.
There’s some extra cross promotion going on here: Overwatch will be 25% off on Switch until October 27 and purchasing it will add 3 months on to your Nintendo Switch Online subscription.
This is the second freebie Nintendo has offered to Online members this month (the first being Mario 35) in an effort to add value to its subscription service. These freebies might be set to become a regular thing, since in September there was a week’s free trial of Disgaea 5 Complete.
