PaRappa The Rapper first launched on PS1,
The rhythm game that we love a tonne!
Now this PS1 games comes to PlayStation 4,
Enhanced and remastered for you to adore.
Sorry for dropping that sick verse. I just couldn’t help myself. The trailer fo PaRappa the Rapper Remastered looks pretty great, even though it does show a dad forcing his kids to play a video game he used to love as a kid. The remaster is in celebration of PaRappa’s 20th anniversary Along with the Crash Bandicoot N-Sane Trilogy, Sony are bringing some classic PSOne experiences to PS4!
PaRappa the Rapper Remastered seems like a fairly straight port to PS4, enhancing the graphics to make them look real pretty. PaRappa the Rapper 2 is already available on PS4 as a PS2 Classic, so it’s great to see both games finally available on the console.
A demo for the game is already available on PSN, which is available right here. No release date for the full game has been announced yet.
The end of the trailer also reveals that remasters of both Patapon and Locoroco are also on their way, two more great underrated gems from Sony’s back catalogue of exclusives. Both Patapon and Locoroco originally released on PlayStation Portable (and are currently downloadable and playable on PlayStation Vita).
