Atlus teasing 7 Persona related projects for 25th anniversary

The Persona series turns 25 this September, and Atlus is planning to celebrate with a multitude of mystery projects.

A newly opened 25th anniversary website has space for seven announcements, with the first set to be revealed September 2021. New projects will be shown off all the way into next year, culminating in a final announcement during Autumn 2022.

Of course, most of these reveals will be for things other than new games such as anime or books, though there’s enough evidence to suggest that at least one will be game related.

Perfect World Games revealed Code Name: X a few months back, a title based on a “famous JRPG IP”. It was confirmed that this is a Persona title, so it wouldn’t be a surprise to see it make an appearance in the coming months.

Furthermore, an interview in 2017 confirmed that Altus was hiring for a new entry in the series. With that in mind, a 2022 reveal (and potentially a release date) for Persona 6 doesn’t seem too unreasonable. Atlus’ merch store, which features new items featuring every game in the franchise, also contains a few mystery items. Considering that one is part of a collection showing off every protagonist, and the other is artwork for every game, everything points to a new major entry being revealed soon.
