The growing list of bona fide Japanese classics on Xbox One is growing, with Xbox 360 games Persona 4 Arena and Deadly Premonition joining the system’s back compatibility line-up. These are both two of my favourite games ever, so if you missed them — get them for cheaps this time!
Persona 4 Arena does indeed have a different story to its sequel, Ultimax, which will hopefully head to Xbox One soon. It’s a brilliant fighter from Arc System Works, and is a must play for Persona fans.
Originally an Xbox 360 exclusive, Deadly Premonition has since been updated for PS3 and PC. While this release lacks those “Director’s Cut” enhancements, it’s also slightly more stable — and it’s always nice to revisit the game as it was first released.
It’s still the only current gen console option to play the brilliant Twin Peaks-esque detective game, even if this release lacks some improvements.
Both titles are available to play on Xbox One right now.
