Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis shows off opening movie, character creator

Over the weekend, Sega shared more footage for Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis, the next major entry in the Phantasy Star Online series.

The ‘PSO2 New Genesis Prologue 1’ stream went over a lot of New Genesis’s features, including its updated combat system and new hub area. We even got a brief look at the graphical update that will be coming to the original Phantasy Star Online 2.

During the stream, Sega also debuted both the game’s opening movie and its character creator. In fact, nearly 30 minutes of the overall broadcast was spent messing around with the various customisation options that have been added.

Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis releases worldwide in 2021, though only the Steam, Windows 10, and Xbox One versions will be available in the West.
