Phantom Brave – the PS2 Classic on Steam This July!

NIS America announced that Phantom Brave, their PlayStation 2 classic, will be coming out this summer on Steam. A few years back the game released for Nintendo Wii titled Phantom Brave: We Meet Again and PlayStation Portable called Phantom Brave: The Hermuda Triangle.

The gameplay and art style is very reminiscent of Disgaea series, Nippon Ichi Software’s staple series. Like Disgaea, it is a tactical RPG, but here you play as a 13-year old girl, Marona, who has a special ability to communicate with Phantoms, basically the dead. She actually lives with one of them called Ash who is her guardian and adviser. Marona mostly provides for herself by running errands on a small island called the Phantom Isle. Because of her special gift people are afraid of her and sometimes even refuse to pay for her hard work. Marona’s dream is to save up enough money and buy Phantom Isle, which she’s currently renting.

The system requirements are a bit high for this 2D tactical RPG, but if your system can handle it you shouldn’t miss out on it.
