Phantom Breaker: Omnia releasing March 2022
Rocket Panda games has announced that Phantom Breaker: Omnia will release for PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam on March 15, 2022.
Phantom Breaker: Omnia is the third iteration of the fighting game franchise, adding in a couple new characters and rebalancing various gameplay systems. This is also the first time a main entry has made its way to the west, despite the spin-off Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds releasing on multiple platforms since 2013.
The release date announcement has been paired with an… interesting trailer. It’s certainly unique, though based on the general response from the FGC it doesn’t seem to have gone down too well.
The game definitely has its work cut out for it, regardless of the trailer’s reception. Despite the visual improvements, it still looks quite dated, and no rollback netcode is basically a death sentence for its online community.
