Platinum Games’ Scalebound Has Been Cancelled

Microsoft has announced that Scalebound, one of Platinum Games’ upcoming titles, has been cancelled after 4 years of being in development. News on Scalebound had been pretty scarce for a while but it’s still a great shame that a promising title will never see the light of day.
 
There’s been no reasoning behind it and we’re very interested as to why it has been cancelled, but it might have just been internal issues. We love Platinum Games (perhaps best known for Bayonetta, Vanquish and the upcoming NieR Automata, but it’s no secret that they tend to have either very good games or very bad ones – maybe this was shaping up to be one of the latter, whilst NieR Automata is on its way to being one of the former.
 

Scalebound was announced at E3 2014 and would’ve been available on Xbox One and PC.
