PlayStation Plus version of Final Fantasy VII Remake to finally get free PS5 upgrade
Square Enix has revealed that owners of Final Fantasy VII Remake on PS4 via PlayStation Plus will finally be able to claim the free PS5 upgrade from Wednesday.
Currently, those that own the game digitally through PS Plus do not have the option to upgrade — something that is also an issue with other titles like Mortal Shell and Greedfall.
It may have taken nine months, but those of you that were holding out for the free upgrade can pick it up from December 22, 2021.
Episode Intermission will also be 25% off next week for all owners of Final Fantasy VII Remake on PS5, which gives access to the Yuffie story chapter and a few extras.
This news coincides with the recent release of VII Remake on PC, which ended the game’s PlayStation exclusivity — though the port isn’t amazing, especially for its current asking price.
