Pokémon Scarlet and Violet releasing November 18
The Pokemon Company has released a second trailer for Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet, detailing some of the game’s new features, along with a November 18, 2022 release date.
The starts by revealing Professor Sada and Professor Turo, with being exclusive to one of the upcoming titles – Professor Sada in Scarlet, Professor Turo in Violet. You’ll also be helped by Nemona, a veteran trainer from the currently-unnamed region.
A few additional Pokémon were revealed during the trailer as well, including the olive-themed Smoliv, and legendaries Koraidon and Miraidon.
Unlike previous mainline titles, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will be fully open-world, building upon Sword/Shield and Legends: Arceus. The official website confirms that you’ll be able to explore the world in any order you want, separate from the story. This includes 4-player co-op outside of battles, another first for the mainline franchise.
Digital pre-orders for both versions are now available via the Nintendo eShop. The physical release’s box art has also been updated to include the newly revealed legendaries.
