PS5 version of Yakuza: Like a Dragon set to release March

While the Xbox Series X version of Yakuza: Like a Dragon will be releasing this year alongside PS4, Xbox One and PC, PS5 owners will have to wait until next year for their turn.

Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio have announced that the PS5 version will not be releasing until March 2 2021, nearly four months later. In fact, Sega also revealed that the current gen and PC releases will actually arrive a few days earlier than previously announced, to coincide with the Xbox Series X version.

According to the announcement tweet, those who purchase Yakuza: Like a Dragon digitally on PS4 will be able to upgrade to PS5 for free from March 2. There’s no mention of upgrading for physical owners of the game, something that is possible with the Xbox One release.

The tweet also includes a preview of the PS5 version, which is honestly hard to distinguish from what we’ve already seen on Xbox Series X.

Yakuza: Like a Dragon will launch November 10 2020 on PS4, PC, Xbox One, and Series X.
