PSYCHO-PASS may very well be one of the grittiest and most shocking anime out in recent years. Its cyberpunk world is a dystopia disguised as a utopia, where everyone’s stress level is constantly monitored. Its deep storyline and mature themes kept viewers craving for more.
It’s then no wonder then that we are more than a bit excited for Mandatory Happiness, the upcoming visual novel set in the Psycho-Pass world. The game is made by 5pB, the studio that brought us Steins;Gate, Corpse Party and Chaos Head, so it should be in good hands.
Mandatory Happiness will feature a new story, as well as totally new characters, alongside the cast from the first season of the PSYCHO-PASS anime.
The North American version of the game will come with the first two episodes of the anime, redeemable via PSN.
PSYCHO-PASS: Mandatory Happiness will be checking your hue on September 13 in North America and September 16 in Europe, both physically and digitally. The game will be available on PlayStation 4 and Vita, as well as on Windows via Steam available at a later date.
