R-Type Final 2 Western release set for April 30

Publisher NIS America has announced that R-Type Final 2, which originally had a Spring 2021 release window, will be launching on April 30 in English.

Crowdfunded back in 2019, R-Type Final 2 is the first mainline game in the series after almost 20 years, aiming to bring an even bigger selection of playable ships from the franchise’s history.

Developer Granzella recently shared a trailer for the game, which revealed that the Japanese launch date will be April 30, a day before its English release.

R-Type Final 2 is releasing on PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. Pre-orders for the Limited and Inaugural Flight editions are still available via the NISA Europe store.
