2D run and gun shooter Nitro Express launching 19 May for PC

Playism has announced that Grayfax Software’s side view run and gun shooter Nitro Express will launch for PC via Steam on 19 May 2025.

Nitro Express sees you blasting your way across Tokyo as the Atypical Vehicle Disposal Squad, taking on waves of autonomous robots that are rampaging throughout the city.

You’re given access to plenty of guns, explosives, turrets and more as you decommission everything that attacks you. Oddly enough, despite the hectic visuals and action, getting the most of of your weapons requires a little patience. Standing still offers both higher accuracy and damage on the majority of gun types, though you can still grab an SMG to run and gun without care.

There’s currently no news of a console release, though Grayfax Software’s previous title Orangeblood eventually made it to PS4, Xbox, and Switch after its initial PC launch.
