Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma delayed to June 5

Marvelous Games has announced that Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma has been delayed by a week to 5 June 2025, to line up with the release of the Switch 2. This means that Switch and PC players will have to wait a week longer than planned for the upcoming farming RPG.

A few more details regarding the Switch 2 version are also known now, with Guardians of Azuma confirmed to support Joy-Con 2 mouse controls when building villages. You’ll unsurprisingly also get better framerates and a higher resolution over the original Switch, though there’s no mention of improved textures or models.

The Limited Edition is still only planned for Switch, meaning Switch 2 owners will have to buy the newly revealed upgrade pack. There’s no news on pricing at this time, but expect the upgrade to be at least €10 if Switch 2 pricing is anything to go by.

Despite a relatively solid Nintendo Direct, everything after this has been a bit messy. With release date changes and information only coming out a day after, it almost seems like publishers and developers are being given information at the last second.
