Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma launches May 30 for Switch, PC
Over a year since its initial reveal as Rune Factory: Project Dragon, we now have a release date for Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma.
Set to launch in the west on May 30 2025 for Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam, Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma featured Japanese-inspired setting and dual protagonists. Unlike the last time multiple player characters were implemented in a Rune Factory game (Tides of Destiny) you can choose which protagonist you play as from the start.
While growing crops and battling creatures is still the main focus of Guardians of Azuma, this time you’ll also be rebuilding villages to help revive the weakened gods of nature. Villagers that join can aid in both village management and battle.
Pre-orders are available now, including for a newly revealed Limited Edition — in the UK, it’s currently available exclusively on Amazon. The Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma Limited Edition includes a soundtrack CD, art book, folding fan, and two DLC packs.
On January 22 2025, the Marvelous Europe YouTube channel will host a livestream for the game, revealing more information alongside gameplay.
