Street Fighter’s Ryu and Chun-Li joining Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid in May
In a move that makes at least a little more sense than their recent appearance in Fortnite, Street Fighter‘s Ryu and Chun-Li will both be coming to Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid on May 25, 2021.
Dubbed the Crimson Hawk Ranger and Blue Phoenix Ranger respectively, Ryu and Chun-Li fit right in to the tag team chaos of Battle for the Grid. From the Ryu gameplay trailer, it’s easy to see the inspirations behind his moveset — most notably from Marvel vs. Capcom 3.
Each character will be available separately, or as part of the appropriately named Street Fighter Pack. A $50 Super Edition is also launching on the same day, containing the base game, all previous season passes, Ryu and Chun-Li, and four extra costumes.
Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid released for the Switch and Xbox One back in 2019, with PS4, PC, and Stadia releases following afterwards.
