Sanrio Danshi Anime Adaptation Announced
Sanrio’s recent project about a group of boys that love Sanrio characters has already had two manga adaptations, one of which also got a smartphone game, and now it will be getting yet another in an upcoming Sanrio Danshi anime!
One manga version followed the everyday lives of the boys and the other featured a romance between a heroine and the boys. It’s not been stated which, if either, of these the anime will be based on, but it’s definitely bound to be cute!
Each of the five boys has a different favourite Sanrio character, and they band together to accept their love for these characters instead of feeling embarrassed by it. The previous voice actors for the characters will be reprising their roles. The cast is as follows:
Kōta Hasegawa, who loves Pom Pom Purin – CV: Takuya Eguchi.
Yū Mizuno, who loves My Melody – CV: Sōma Saitō.
Shunsuke Yoshino, who loves Hello Kitty – CV: Jun Oosuka.
Ryō Nishimya, who loves Little Twin Stars – CV: Hiroyuki Kagura.
Seiichiro Minamoto, who loves Cinnamoroll – CV: Yūma Uchida.
There’s currently no date given for the Sanrio Danshi anime.
