This morning MAQL Europe revealed the boxart for the forthcoming Senran Kagura Burst on 3DS. To say it gets straight to the point is an understatement – and is sure to raise a few eyebrows. They’ve also revealed the street date to be Friday the 28th of February – so anyone who was hoping to get a copy for Valantines Day is gonna be bang outta luck. ; )
Unlike the US, us lucky Europeans are the only territory to get a physical western release of this game – which is a bonus for anyone, like me, who has a bit of a thing for collecting this kind of stuff.
If you’ve never heard of Senran Kagura before – it’s basically a scrolling beat-em-up where two rival academies of perky ninja schoolgirls do battle. And their clothes get ripped off as they fight. I’ve spend quite a lot of time with the Japanese version of Burst and the core fighting underneath all the moe, pants and boobs is very solid, enjoyable and much slicker that you’d expect.
I imagine I’ll post a review up in time for launch.
By the way, for those of you who are interested, I contacted Zen United who are looking after PR and Marketing for Senran Kaghura in Europe to ask about whether there will be anything in the way of pre-order bonuses to which they replied;
‘Yes we will! It’ll be confirmed in the next couple of weeks.’ – so keep an eye out for that.
