Last nights Game Awards has come and gone, bringing a handful of exciting announcements (and a surprising lack of ads this time). Unexpectedly, Nintendo wasted no time revealing the next Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC character, the One-Winged Angel Sephiroth.
He’s another heavily requested crossover character, bringing his oversized katana to outrange most other sword fighters. Sephiroth is releasing alongside a new stage, which can be seen briefly during the trailer, and hopefully we’ll get more than two songs from Final Fantasy VII this time.
Sephiroth will be added some time this month, with a presentation by director Masahiro Sakurai coming on December 17. He’ll be going over everything about the upcoming DLC, along with an announcement of its release date.
