Shadowverse: Champion’s Battle Switch demo out now

Marvelous Europe has released a demo for Shadowverse: Champion’s Battle on the Switch, ahead of the game’s release on August 13.

Shadowverse: Champion’s Battle is a singleplayer RPG based on the Shadowverse anime — which in turn is baed on the free-to-play card game.

Unlike the original game, which was mainly focused on multiplayer PvP, Champion’s Battle is a more structured experience. Instead of having to mainly rely on gacha luck for cards, you’ll instead collect them as you fight opponents during the story. The first story chapter is included as part of the demo, with progress carrying over to the full game once it releases.

The game does feature online play too, though it should be much more beginner friendly thanks to the singleplayer modes letting new players learn the game at a slower pace.

All physical and digital copies will come with a promo code for Shadowverse on PC and mobile, granting extra cards and cosmetic items.
